Privacy
Your words, your data
This is the alpha version of our privacy notice. It will harden as we approach v1, but the principles don't change: no tracking, no AI training, no ads.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, so you can sign in.
- The documents you write, so we can store them and show them back to you.
- Standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, route) for security and debugging. We rotate these regularly.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics SDKs. We don't load Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Segment, or anything similar.
- No advertising networks. Your browsing inside Nazm is not sold or shared.
- No AI training on your content. Your writing is not used to train any model — ours, or anyone else's.
Where your data lives
We use a small set of trusted infrastructure providers to run the service:
- DigitalOcean — application hosting and the managed Postgres database that stores your documents.
- Cloudflare R2 — file storage for any images you upload.
- Vercel — hosting for the web frontend.
Each provider acts as a processor on our behalf and is bound by their own published privacy terms.
Your data is yours
- Export anytime. Every chapter exports as clean Markdown — no proprietary format, no upsell.
- Delete anytime. During alpha, account deletion is handled by emailing [email protected]. We respond within a few days and remove your data from primary storage immediately. Backups are purged on their normal rotation (within 30 days).
Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party cookies. No tracking pixels.
Children
Nazm is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change anything material, we'll note it here and link from the What's new log.
